Session 24

The session starts with the water louse fleeing into the murky water while Athtar and Salas patch themselves up. They continue to explore the cave. Heading North, they hear the sound of a rushing waterfall somewhere on the far side of the cave on the same side. Down South, they see nothing.

Salis opts to hop a few of the rocks to get to the center island, but falls in close to the end. The water louse reacts to him falling in. It grabs him with its mandables and attempts to drag him under the water. He manages to break free and eventually makes it.

Upon examining the island, he notes the skeletons on the island and proceeds to loot them. He then takes the boat on the island to collect the rest of the party and take them to the island.

Benjamin casts detect magic and detects the presence of magic but is unsure what specifically is magical.

Athtar can tell from the dwarves and the fact that they are carrying pickaxes, that these dwarves are miners. Looking at them, Athtar can tell they are not affiliated with the mining company locally but are likely affiliated with the dwarves in the mountains. Athtar continues to investigate the corpses, he finds a dwarven clan dagger and recognizes it as from Stone Peak. He recognizes that the dwarves likely came from deeper in the caves

Benjamin finds a metal wisp and calls Athtar over. Athtar looks over them but doesn't recall much information other than the fact he has seen them before.

Salis explores a pile of treasure and finds a Quickiron Plasma that attacks him, the same one that had taken Gimli. The group takes it down and Athtar manages to refine the slime into gold worth the amount the skymetal would have been worth.

Salis offers to join the crew seeing that the party needed help. Together, they bury Gimli's body on the island among the trees.

Athtar recognizes the bottles as containing Rockberry Wine, each bottle is worth 50 gold and rockberry takes 30 years to fully grow and then another 50 to ferment. While growing, the berries are indistinguishable from rocks while growing.

They also find 200 silver pieces, and on one of the dwarves, they find a necklace made of leather strung with miniature stone knives. It is a magic item, the Necklace of Knives.

They also find a cold-iron blanche.

Athtar recognizes the pickaxe of dwarven make, material is low-grade cold iron.
