Session 11

The session opens as the group steps out of the doors.

Theo steps out and gets behind the pillar closest to the door and the altar. Silas steps out from around the pillar, biting Theo with venom. Theo manages to hold against the poison. He then backs away behind another pillar, however, he's concealed.

Gimli runs up to the pillar below the one Theo hides at. He is able to see Silas. He then makes an attack on Silas.

The Dreshkan begins to power up...

Pete heads out of the doors, moving to the pillar Gimli stands at, but on the opposite side. He reloads and loads an ooze round into his gun. He attempts to conceal but fails. He then takes cover behind the pillar.

Labelle is up next. He raises a hand, saying, "We don't have to come to violence." He offers a pact of peace to Theo. Theo rejects it. He doesn't make it but takes some

Athtar gets behind the corner of the doors and pulls out the bomb launcher. He loads it with an acid flask and waits.

Theo heads up and attempts a two-action blast but misses.

Silas heads out of concealment and up to Gimli. He makes a bite attack but misses. He then heads down and attempts a feint check on Pete, but fails.

Gimli moves up by Theo and attempts to hail splinters against Labelle, the Dreshkan, and Phillip. Labelle was hit fully by it, but Gimli barely misses the Dreshkan. Phillip is also hit. His armour drops with his blast.

Electricity sparks from the Dreshkan's core. It gets up off the table and its eyes glow. It howls as it performs a needle spray, hitting both Theo and Gimli. Theo doesn't manage to get out of the way in time

Pete attempts to take a shot against Silas, but misses. He then demoralizes Silas instead. Silas hisses, "you think I'd be scared of you?"

Pete then steps back.

Labelle commands Phillip to move up to Gimli and casts Torturous Trauma. Gimli manages to avoid the brunt of the spell.

The hex from the pact fades away.

Athtar fires his bomb at the Dreshkan but misses, however, it does splash onto it. He then moves up to the pillar Theo stands at and tosses him an elixir of life.

Theo drinks the elixir and blasts Phillip and Labelle, Phillip is also hit by the metal shards and begins bleeding.

Silas looks at Pete and smiles. He deceptively moves up on Athtar, catching him off guard, and then swinging at Athtar twice. First, as with bite, the second with a dagger.

He misses with the bite but does land the dagger.

Gimli raises his aura, then transforms his arm into a hammer. He smashes it down on Phillip. He then places a tree sentinel at his feet.

The Dreshkan shudders and moves down by Phillip, then makes a claw attack on Gimli, but is forced to attack the tree. Lightning shoots up its arm as its claw raises and crashes down, but it is blocked by the tree. It then does another claw attack on Gimli, gashing him across the chest.

Pete moves up, reloads, and shoots Silas, critically injuring him and coating him with ooze.

Labelle's breaths are a little ragged. He commands Phillip to the center of the room and casts final sacrifice.

Athtar gets out of dodge, but Theo is hit and taken down by the explosion

Silas is caught in the blast and dies.

Athtar moves closer to Gimli, creating an elixir of life and administering it to Gimli. Unfortunately, it doesn't heal much.

Gimli makes another tree sentinel between Theo, himself, and Athtar, protecting them all. Gimli then moves down closer to Pete.

The Dreshkan gets on all fours and fires a spray of needles mixed with electricity. The tree takes the hit for Athtar but Gimli goes down.

Pete moves up to the pillar Athar is at, but on the opposite side. He reloads and intimidates Labelle, frightening him. Pete then takes a shot on Labelle, hitting.

Theo tries to get up but isn't doing too well.

Labelle commands the Dreshkan quickly, and he manages to heal himself as he stitches himself closed.

Athtar prepares another elixir of life and force-feeds it to Theo, bringing him back up from the brink. He then throws an alchemist's fire at the Dreshkan, critically hitting and burning the being.

The Dreshkan moves to block the stairway to Labelle, he then fires a needle at Athtar. Gimli's tree tries to block the attack, but it cuts through, destroying the tree, and severely wounding Athtar, though he still stands — barely.

Theo gets up, raises his aura, and blasts the Dreshkan doing a one action blast, dealing some damage. He then runs to get behind cover.

Labelle fiddles with something up on the top left of the room. He then turns to the group, points a finger, and casts a spell to prevent Pete from attacking without taking mental damage himself.

Athtar moves down to Gimli and feeds him an elixir of life. Gimli gets up and moves by Theo

The Dreshkan moves down and claws Theo, ripping him apart.

Pete reloads and takes a shot against the Dreshkan. He critically hits it, and then reloads while creating a disctraction, succeeding and catches the Dreshkan off guard before dealing a little more damage.

Athtar throws an acid vial at the Dreshkan, but misses, dealing a little splash damage. He then moves down below the pillar out of dodge.

Gimli turns his fists into spiked gauntlets and performs a solid punch right through his chest into the lightning core. He then shoves his other fist into the Dreshkan's head and rips it apart, killing it as electrical sparks scatter. He yells, "That's for my friend Theo!"

Labelle disappears into a secret tunnel by the fireplace. Gimli loots Silas' body. He has two daggers, 50 gold pieces, and a piece of paper, giving him instructions to lay low at the Labelle manor while things are being sorted out. No doubt in relation to the theft much earlier.

As the group loots, Theo's arm on the ground scrapes and bangs in a rhythmic fashion. It seems rhythmic. Theo gets up, a claw mark is gashed across his chest, but the bleeding has stopped. Cables extended from his arm, up his shoulder, and extend into his back as the metal has taken more of him. He slowly rises to his feet.

Athtar comments that the fight was, by all intents and purposes, a disaster. But one they miraculously survived.

Theo stumbles up and gets to where the Dreshkan died, looking for the core. Not seeing it, he turns to Gimli and asks for the core. His arm scratches and scrapes in approval as if it has a life of its own. Gimli hands it over.

The group decides to head back to town to collect the reward on Silas and close the case. Before leaving, the group takes 100 gold pieces worth of assorted valuables, 50 gold worth of alchemical reagents.

They also collect a Jade Cat, a dead-weight mutagen, and a type 1 bag of holding (spacious pouch)
